Cleaning Disney's Spaceship Earth

One of the most memorable jobs Bay Area Window Cleaning has ever done, says John Richeson, founder of Bay Area, was Disney's famous Spaceship Earth at EPCOT pictured here. Bay Area was hired to wash the surfaces of this unique structure to remove dirt and algae.

Working only at night, Bay Area workers (including John) had to climb inside the structure to the roof hatch eventually finding themselves standing on the center of the sphere. From there they rappelled down with ropes in the dark to wash the surfaces by moonlight. "The view was outstanding" says John, "especially when looking down". "The challenge was  remembering where you last cleaned due to all the geometric designs". Click here to read some interesting facts about this structure.
